Social awareness education via experience activities with stem for 5-6-year-old children with autism spectrum disorders in inclusive preschools
Experience activity with STEM is an approach to cross-linked functions in the learning process, social awareness education process for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at the age of 5- 6 years, educator will combine topics, and simple definitions related to science, technology, technical and mathematics in the specific context. It has harmony with the daily life of children and it helps to increase children’s attraction to experience activities. It enables ASD 5-6-yearold children to know other people’s feelings, sympathize, care, and interact and positively respond with surrounding people. It brings value to the community. This research focuses on analyzing 120 nursery teachers' experience activity organization method via STEM activities and proposes some appropriate measures to apply and implement social awareness education through experiential activities with STEM for 5-6-year-old children with autism in preschools in Vietnam.
