The situation of assessment of learning capacity and sign language capacity hearing impaired students in primary schools according to the 2018 general education curriculum
Assessment of learning capacity and sign language capacity is the most important content of abilities and needs assessment of primary hearing-impaired students. The assessment results provide teachers with the necessary information for determining the goals, contents, methods, strategies, and educational materials that are appropriate for each student. This article analyzes the situation of assessing the learning capacity and sign language capacity of primary hearing-impaired students according to the 2018 general education curriculum in the special schools\centers, inclusive supporting centers, and inclusive primary schools. The research results confirm the importance and significance of assessing the learning capacity and sign language capacity of primary hearing-impaired students, determining the assessment contents, and showing the current difficulties and challenges of teachers when assessing learning capacity and sign language capacity because of the lack of assessment tools and manuals. These are important bases for building an assessment tool for the learning capacity and sign language capacity of primary hearing-impaired students, thereby contributing to improving the quality of education for hearing-impaired students.
