Tên bài báo AFTER-SCHOOL LEARNING SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES IN JAPAN: IMPORTANCE OF BUILDING THEORIES AND ACCUMULATING EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE BASED ON “PEACE OF MIND AND SELF-RESPECT” 
Tóm tắt The purpose of this study is the following two. Firstly, this study examines the work of Dr. Kuboshima Tsutomu (Professor Emeritus, Shiga University, Japan), one of the most noteworthy studies on children with developmental disabilities in Japan. In particular, this study examines the theoretical core of Kuboshima's study, “Peace of Mind and Selfrespect”. Secondly, this study specifies examples of practices of support center A for children with disabilities. In particular, this study reports on after-school activities for children with developmental disabilities. Especially, this report focuses on the following three points. (1) Positioning of after-school support (laws, relationship between schools and after-school support centers, etc.), (2) Activity program of Support Center A, (3) Three Vietnamese children with developmental disabilities are enrolled in the support center A, and this study considers the activities of these children. Through examination, the theories, social systems, and practices specified in this paper are: (1) Important findings for providing effective support for the development of children with developmental disabilities, (2) “Peace of mind and self-respect” are important findings for raising children with foreign roots too, (3) Not only information about work in Japan, but also information for knowing about child-rearing and community life in Japan is important.
